Last Minute Details

Hello everyone,
Today marks our 10 day countdown to leaving for Romania. We are very excited and busy getting last minute details done. With many things going on in Children's Ministries this is a pressing time anyway, so you can image.

Please be in prayer for a few things..
We have just learned that we are going to have more space restrictions than we originally thought for the morning VBS. We need to modify our activities in these last few days.

Also, we are hoping for divine intervention to make our layover flight on Aug 12. We only have a one hour layover in London to make one of only 2 flights into Bucharest. Come on prayer warriors! Join us in praying for this connection.

Continue to pray for funding. 2 of our ladies are struggling to find family and friends who can help them pay for this trip. If you are so led to help them out financially, let me know at bherrera@rhcc.net. You can also lend your support by heading to Ruby's Diner in Palos Verdes next Sunday until 9pm to eat. 20% of what you spend will help us out. Be sure to fill in the fundraiser sign-in sheet at the register so we get credit for your meal.

Finally, continue to pray that God will be preparing our hearts and the hearts of the children and adults we will encounter. May God be glorified and lives be transformed.

Preparing for the Journey

Welcome!
This is the maiden voyage of this blog. It will keep those of you invested in sharing God's Word to the nations up to date on our upcoming Short Term Mission trip to Romania.

Myself and 7 other ladies will be heading to Romania on August 11-22 to share God's love with the Gypsy children of Bucharest. We will run 2 Vacation Bible School programs each day for 5 days. The morning one will be held at a small church in Bucharest and the second one will be in the afternoon on the streets to the homeless children. In addition, we hope to encourage the team of adults that are reaching out to these children. May God light a fire in the hearts of the children and their parents.

We covet your prayers as we are in final prep for our trip. Our supplies are bought, our curriculum at the ready. All that remains is to continue to prepare ourselves spiritually for this trip.

We are only the outer vessel that will be poured out. Pray with us that we will be 100% yielded to His will each day.

If you feel led to support this trip, we are still coming up short on our needed funds. We are confident that God will provide what we need.
